Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, yesterday described
reports of proposed sale of some National assets to revive the ailing
economy as "mere speculation". Speaking with state house correspondents,
Lai Mohammed said the proposed sale of some national assets was only
discussed and endorsed as a Medium Term Expenditure Framework and
remains a suggestion but not a solution decided upon by government to
rebound the economy.
Last Thursday, the National Economic Council led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo endorsed the sale of some national assets as measures to reflate the economy.
